I'm So Glad You Found My Page

Hey! Thank YA'll( see what i did there... nevermind) for stopping by.I am a lover of books, butterflies, buttons, baby animals, Caramel Apple Suckers and Vanilla Coke (Who cares if those last two don't start with a "B"?) Writing and Reading are my passions, but unfortunately the latter can get expensive. So, here i will post giveaways of the literary kind. ARCS, signed copies, swag, random rants, babbling blurbs, so on and so forth. Anything to do with YA. Cause who doesn't love books?!?!?!?

P.S. I've recently been approved to review for Netgalley... Stay tuned for more reviews!

One blogger to another... An interview with Justin from Justin's Book Blog

Seeing as how us book bloggers tend to be loners by definition, Brielle from Awesome Bookworm has arranged a Book Blogger Meetup and today I have an interview with fellow book blogger/reviewer, Justin from

So, i asked Justin...

Q~What is the worst book you've ever read, but finished reading anyway?

A~I find it really hard to answer questions like this, I feel like every book I read has some redeeming quality. Which is why when I do reviews and such, and give a book a low rating I will always make sure to talk about the good qualities too. So to be perfectly honest, I can't actually pick a worst.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q~Sometimes when people recommend a book, they praise it so highly that i rush right out and buy it. I've been disappointed a few times. Has this ever happened to you? If so, which book/books was it?
A~So far it hasn't, a lot of the people that have recommended books to me have very similar tastes in books, so I have yet to be disappointed by any recommendations.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Q~Out of the books you've read, which was the most UNDER rated?

A~Hmm, I am assuming you mean which book do I feel didn't get a lot of attention. If so, I would have to go with Falling for Hamlet. I loved this book, but honestly didn't see much talk about it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q~Who is your favorite author? Why?
A~My favorite author would have to be J.K Rowling. I started reading Harry Potter within a few months of the book one coming out in the US. She was the author that made me fall in love with reading, if it wasn't for her I wouldn't be doing what I am doing now. And thanks to her, I have found so many other amazing authors that I really love.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Q~To be a good writer you have to be a good reader. Do you write, or do you have plans on writing in the future?

A~I don't plan to write, I might one day but it's not something I am really interested in. I love reading, and I love blogging but that is about the limit for my writing at the moment.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Q~How many books can you read in a week? A year?
A~I can read maybe two books a week depending on what else I am doing, and if I don't get distracted. But right now I don't really try to push myself as I feel like doing things like that can lead to reading slumps and everything else. I just try and keep up a decent pace for reviews. As for how many I read in a year, this coming hear will be the first time I try to set a limit. So as of now, I am not quite sure.
There are a few places where you can find Justin and check out his reviews. His blog and Twitter... He interviewed me as well. Go check out my answers to his questions and show a little love by following his blog and/or leaving a comment.
As Always, HAPPY READING!!
There's a whole lotta hopping goin' on
Book Blogger Hop
Jen over at Crazy for Books hosts a weekly blog hop and I LOVE her for it. I like bouncing the blog-o-sphere and finding new people to stalk - I mean, follow.
 Here's this weeks topic...
“As a book blogger, how do you introduce yourself in your profile?”
My answer...
Here, it's all about the love... of reading YA, that is. I love to read it and write it. To me, even at 20-something, it's the best genre out there and I love to talk about it. That's why we're all here, right? I also search the blog-o-sphere for giveaways and share them here with you guys. I've even been known to do a giveaway or two on my Twitter and Facebook pages, feel free to add me as a friend or follow my random tweeting...
Also, here's my "About Moi" Introduction...
I am a 20 something, Stay-At-Home mom of two beautiful, smart, talented kids. My wonderful hubby works out of town so I have TONS of time for books, writing and sometimes blogging. I am also an internet junkie and tattoo addict. All of them are girly and meaningful, oh, and easily concealed. I am the product of two preachers (My mom AND dad ) so i was sheltered as a child and lived vicariously through fictional characters ;p.
~Fluent in sarcasm and Alabama Redneck
~I'm clumsy and forgetful
~I'm as goofy as goofy gets
~I love my family...
What about you? How do you make your virtual first impression? Hit me with your best shot and introduce thyself, peeps!
Looky what I made!!!! (But if defamation of books makes you queasy, look away)
I had a slightly water-damaged copy of TWILIGHT and my friend over at Homemaker in Heels kept showing me book wreaths on Pinterest. I've always been a crafty girl so i caved into my creative nature and made this. Now, some of you might hate it simply because i ripped up a copy of Twilight, but i had THREE copies. And like i said, it was slightly damaged. Here is the finished product, i'm quite proud of my accomplishment. I added a new tab up top for things of the creative nature. I'm going to make a book vase next...
Tell me what you guys think...
Bloggy- Blog Hop # 2!!
Book Blogger Hop
I love blog hops, you get to meet so MANY great, new bloggery type peeps. So, this week i'm doing it again.  Crazy for Books  is the weekly sponsor and this week's question is...
“Many of us primarily read one genre of books, with others sprinkled in. If authors stopped writing that genre, what genre would you start reading? Or would you give up reading completely if you couldn’t read that genre anymore?”
My Answer is: I LOVE YA. I basically only read YA (any kind) and V.C. Andrews, and that may as well be YA. Would i stop reading if YA was never made again? No, but I would read WAY less and write WAY more to bring the genre back, even if it was never published.
How do you all feel? Would you stop reading if they stopped writing your fave genre?
P.S. If you're a blogger too, don't forget to mention it so i can follow you back! ;p
(If your next season is other than fall/autumn, tell us about it and what you are most looking forward to in your part of the world!)”
